- Prestige Baccarat is played like a classic baccarat game which was given the modern treatment. In other words, the rules of the game haven’t been altered beyond recognition. In fact, they haven’t been tampered with at all. Standard bets apply and dealer-controlled card squeeze is added for a bit of drama. The table seats up to 7 players and the cards are dealt from an 8-deck shoe. The cards are shuffled when two decks remain in the shoe. It is customary for the dealer to burn a certain number of cards at the start of a full shoe. Each round stars with players placing bets on the three main outcomes – Banker wins, Player wins or the deal results in a Tie. Most casinos will charge a 5% commission on successful Banker bets.
- A range of optional side bets is also offered, from Banker/Player Pair and Perfect Pair to Small, Big and Egalite. The Egalite bet is perhaps the most notable addition to any Playtech baccarat table. In case you are not familiar with this wager, it requires staking your money on a specific value of a Tie. The main bet does not affect it and you can place multiple Egalite wagers covering multiple values of a possible Tie outcome. Depending on the values you choose, a winning Egalite bet can pay 45:1 odds or go up to 220:1 odds.
