Evolution Gaming has announced its partnership with PointsBet. The global sportsbook operator has chosen it for its rollout of Live Casino services in the US online gambling market.
Live Casino Deal
PointsBet is currently operational in New Jersey, Indiana, and Iowa, offering both online and land-based sports betting.
Originally founded in Australia, PointsBet entered the US market in July 2018. The company gained a commercial license to operate as an online corporate bookmaker in New Jersey. It commenced taking bets in the Garden State in January 2019.
Since then, PointsBet has built a national footprint by entering into a number of other agreements. The intention is to expand US operations into other states, subject to the passing of enabling legislation.
Seth Young, Chief Innovation Officer at PointsBet, commented on the partnership with Evolution Gaming.
“We are thrilled to partner with Evolution Gaming to launch Live Casino technology in US jurisdictions,” he stated. There, they plan to offer their proprietary online casino platform.
“The addition of Evolution Live Casino extends the appeal of PointsBet’s premium product in the rapidly growing US market.”
The US Expansion
Sebastian Johannisson, Chief Commercial Officer at Evolution Gaming, also spoke about the latest collaboration.
“Evolution’s Live Casino portfolio offers PointsBet a rich mix of world-leading online Live Casino games,” he said.
This includes classic table games and online poker variants that are big favorites with US players. In addition to this, there is also their new generation of award-winning, record-breaking game show games.
Moreover, “PointsBet will have the option of exclusively branded dedicated tables and environments, should they require these.”
Evolution opened its first US Live Casino studio in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in August 2018. A second Evolution studio is currently under construction in Pennsylvania with go-live in H2 2020. As for the third studio in Michigan, it is scheduled for go-live in 2021.
